こんな特徴

初心者でも育てやすく、開花期が長い花です。日本では夏越しが難しいため、本来は多年草ですが一年草扱いです。英名でデイズアイ（太陽の目）という意味から名付けられました。日差しの下で花を開き、夕方や曇りの日には閉じる特徴があります。

管理

水はけと水もちのよい土壌を好みます。市販のポット苗を利用すると手軽です。秋に種を蒔き、本葉10枚ぐらいで日当たりのよい所に定植します。寒風が当たったり、強い霜が降りたりするところは避けます。
