こんな特徴
北海道から九州の広く河川の水辺で見られ、猫の尻尾のような花を咲かせます。他のヤナギ類の開花よりも一足早く花が咲き、日差しを受けてとても美しいです。春の訪れを告げる植物で暖かく湿潤な環境を好みます。雌雄異株で、雄株と雌株がそれぞれ雄花と雌花を咲かします。
水際を好み、耐寒性、耐暑性に優れていています。初夏に綿毛につつまれた種子を飛ばします。
管 理
水辺などに自生しますので乾燥しやすい場所は避けたいです。耐寒性、耐暑性に優れていて強健です。育てやすく、手をかけなくても美しい花をたくさん咲かせます。
Rosegold pussy willow（Salix gracilistyla）
